View Full Version : Out of tape loops - and two recorders?

I've got both a minidsc deck and a CD recorder and only one set of tape loops on my Yamaha receiver. I'll need to record in analog mode from MD to CD and will also be using the MD deck to record radio broadcasts from my Yammy and vinyl from my TT. Any ideas how to enable the tape out on my amp to use two sets of devices. Can I just use RCA splitters from Maplins or do I need a switch box of some type?

QED do splitter boxes, but I don't see why RCA splitters wouldn't work.

Cheers sideshowbob! Will try some splitters first, as it's only the tape out I'm short of and have plenty of inputs. The QED switchboxes are about £40 and I don't really want to fork out that much.

Will update when I get said splitters from Maplins.

Sometimes it pays to RTFM before you leave! When I got home with the splitters, I realised that I had a second set of tape loops for a VCR on the Yamaha. Used that for the MD recorder and all is fine. Will return the splitters for some blank MDs or something.
